Wäre alles schwarz, so würden wir all den Schmerz, all die Sorgen, all das Leid in uns auffressen und aufsaugen. Wäre wiederum alles weiß, so würden wir selbst die Menschen und Dinge von uns stoßen, die wir lieben und nichts mehr zu schätzen wissen. Das Mittelmaß ist entscheidend. 

Hat die Fotographie mich eines gelehrt, so war es folgendes. Ohne Licht gibt es keine Schatten. Schwarz hebt weiß am deutlichsten hervor und Kontrast schafft klare Linien, um Materie voneinander abzugrenzen und uns eine Orientierung, ein Bild zu schaffen. Und du musst wissen, dass es bei der sogenannten Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografie auch wichtig ist, dass nur durch das Aufeinandertreffen beider Komplementärfarben das gewünschte Farbergebnis erzielt werden kann. Das heißt, man braucht beide Gegensätze, um dieses Kunstwerk zu schaffen. Andernfalls hätte man nur eine schwarze oder weiße Fläche, aber keine unterschiedlichen Ebenen, die das Foto erst lebendig und interessant gestalten. Denn letzten Endes lassen nur die grauen Abstufungen das Gesamtwerk erkennen.

Imagine everything's black. We'd eat and absorb all the pain, all troubles and worries. But imagine everything's white. We'd even push back the people and thing we love. We wouldn't know appreciation. Balance is what counts. 

If there is one thing that fotography taught me, it's the following. Without light there is no shadow. Black highlights white clearly visible and contrast creates nice clean lines to differe material from each other and to give us an orientation, an angle point, a picture. You must know, with black and white photography it is important to see that only by complementary colors hitting each other, the desired color can be achieved. Meaning, you need both contrasts to create a work of art. Otherwise, you'd only have a black or white surface but no different plains. And plains are what makes a photo alive and interesting. Eventually, only the grey nuances can help us to recognize and detect the complete works.

Landscape

To kill or get killed

Sometimes you are a bit naive. There will always be death. If you are not dying from the sword of war, you are dying from hunger. Or from a disease. Or from age. But anywhere on this world, there will be war. It is human nature. Humans don't want peace. They want more and more. More money, more lang, more power. And tell me, what power is bigger than than the power to decide who can live and die. People are cruel. And to survice, we have to play their game. To kill or get killed. 

Losing yourself

Sometimes the world is just too much. 

You try to pick up the pieces, to get yourself together 

but in the end you still fall apart. 

And then joy becomes this stupid, hard fight 

you do day for day until you dont know what you keep fighting for. 

But you do anyway - cause they want you to. 

In the end you reach the point of losing yourself 

in demands, lives and wishes of others.

Einen Menschen nur durch seine Fehler zu definieren, wäre wie die Sonne dafür verantwortlich zu machen, dass es Dürre auf der Welt gibt. Man kann die Dinge nicht immer nur aus einer Perspektive betrachten – man muss offen sein, um das gesamte Spektrum an Eindrücken wahrzunehmen. Sonst verpasst man womöglich die tolltesten Augenblicke.

Nicht Wissen ist der Schlüssel für Verständnis! Vielmehr müssen wir uns bewusst werden, was um uns geschieht!

Etwas zu sehen heißt nicht, dass wir es auch erkennen oder wahrnehmen. 
Etwas zu benennen heißt nicht, dass wir es auch begreifen.
Etwas zu berühren heißt nicht, dass wir es auch spüren.
Etwas zu hören bedeutet nicht, dass wir es verstehen. 

Nicht die Tatsache, dass wir etwas tun, zeugt von Können, sondern dass wir verstehen, was wir tun!

Knowledge is not the key to understanding. In fact we need to become aware of what is going on around us.

To see something does not mean that we recognize and notice something.
To name something dies not mean that we understand what we are saying.
To touch something does not mean that we feel it.
And to hear something does not mean that we get it!

Not the fact of doing something makes us skilled but the fact, that we understand WHAT we are doing!
